WIN A DV CAMERA OR A SOCAPA FILMMAKING SCHOLARSHIP
In support of the Green Mountain Film Festival's High School Filmmakers Showcase, SOCAPA has donated the festival's grand prize - choice of either a two-week summer filmmaking tuition scholarship or a DV camera and production package.

Call for Entries:
Catamount Film & Arts is now accepting online submissions for its High School Filmmakers Showcase which will be held at the Green Mountain Film Festival in Saint Johnsbury, Vermont on April 9-11, 2010.

Entry Guidelines:

• All filmmakers must be eighteen years or under on April 9th, 2010 to be eligible.
  
• There is an entry fee of $1 per minute of running time, rounded up the next minute. For example, a film that is 4 minutes and 12 seconds in length would cost $5 to submit.
  
• A jury of teens will select a winner and a runner up from each of the four categories: drama, comedy, documentary and experimental (including animation).
  
• A jury of industry professional will select one film from these finalists to be awarded the best of high school showcase award. The winning filmmaker gets his/her choice of a scholarship to attend a SOCAPA two-week filmmaking program in New York City, Vermont or Los Angeles or a SONY PDX-10 Prosumer Camcorder production package donated by the School of Cinema & Performing Arts.
  
• Filmmakers must hold all necessary rights for any films they submit.
  
• A filmmaker can submit multiple films.
  
• DEADLINE FOR SUMBISSIONS IS FEBRUARY 1ST, 2010.
  
• Filmmakers selected for the festival will be notified by March 15th, 2010.
