Filmmaking teacher,
Jamie Sisley, was awarded an SFFILM grant to develop his short film,
Stay Awake, into a feature narrative, this past spring. The film is about two teen brothers who try to help their mother overcome a drug addiction for many years, but they have little success. One day, their mother goes missing after a binge, and the brothers must ask themselves if they should continue to help their mother, or if they should try to move on with their lives.
David Rysdahl (SOCAPA acting teacher) is an actor in the film, as well! We can't wait to see what happens next with this project!
