MFA Film & TV, NYU Tisch School of the Arts
Charlie Barker Theobald is a writer, director, and cinematographer from Fort Collins, CO. He holds a BA from Colorado College where he graduated with a distinction in Film and Media Studies. He is also is a recent graduate of NYU's Tisch School of the Arts Graduate Film program where he earned his MFA in Screenwriting and Directing. In addition to his directorial work, Charlie has worked as an associate producer for shows on A+E and Nat Geo WILD and as an assistant to filmmaker Frederic Tcheng and visual artist Neil Goldberg. While based in Brooklyn, NY, he continues to write about the American west with a focus on coming-of-age in an uncertain landscape. Charlie is currently in post-production on his film, Heirs, which tells the story of a sixteen-year-old forced from his home by a wildfire just days after Christmas.
