Elysia Jordan, who taught our Musical Theater and Acting for Film program just this summer, is now heading out with the First National Tour of School of Rock--The Musical! Andrew Lloyd Webber's latest hit musical based on the 2003 hit film by the same name follows Dewey Finn, "a failed, wannabe rock star who decides to earn a few extra bucks by posing as a substitute teacher at a prestigious prep school. There he turns a class of straight-A students into a guitar-shredding, bass-slapping, mind-blowing rock band.""
School of Rock was nominated for multiple Tony Awards including Best Musical and Best Original Score in 2016, and won the 2017 Laurence Olivier Award for Outstanding Achievement in Music. Lysie's joining the national tour's ensemble and will cover the role of Rosalie, the school's headmistress. The tour launches on September 30th in Rochester, NY at RBTL's Auditorium Theatre, and continues across the US from coast to coast. Check the tour dates for more, or watch the trailer!
