Sunny Sandler and Scarlett Estevez, classmates in SOCAPA’s 2023 Advanced Acting program in New York City, star together in Netflix’s new coming-of-age comedy-drama.
Two SOCAPA Acting alumni, Sunny Sandler and Scarlett Estevez, star together in Don’t Say Good Luck, Netflix’s coming-of-age comedy-drama, which premiered on August 14, 2026.
Classmates first
Long before they shared the screen, Sunny and Scarlett shared a SOCAPA classroom. Both trained in our 3-Week Advanced Acting program in New York City in summer 2023, and Scarlett came back for Advanced Acting again in 2024. The same session also included Samantha Lorraine, who now leads Dora and the Search for Sol Dorado, and who had already played Sunny’s best friend in Netflix’s You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah. That is quite a summer.
We couldn’t be prouder of them. Watch the trailer above, then stream the film on Netflix.
